Uricosuric effect of dandelion root extract on oxonate-induced hyperuricemia in rats

نویسندگان

چکیده

This research aimed to investigate the uricosuric effect of dandelion plant extracts in hyperuricemic rats induced by potassium oxonate (PO).
Methods. Hyperuricemia was using PO, and root were administered observe their impact on uric acid (UA) levels. The study involved adult male Swiss weighing approximately 150–180 grams, randomly divided into five groups (n = 6). Group 1 served as normal control group with no treatment. 2 received PO only. 3 oral administration 50 mg/kg extract 0.5 ml distilled water (DW) daily. 4 orally 100 powder DW 5 treated allopurinol.
After 12 days, euthanized chloroform inhalation, sera collected directly from heart for biochemical analysis serum UA, urinary (UUA), well other liver renal parameters.
Results. revealed that solution experienced a significant decrease blood UA levels increase UUA Dandelion treatment also influenced xanthine oxidase activity, differences observed kidney functions.
Conclusion. Based findings this study, it can be concluded significantly reduces through activity demonstrates XO inhibitory effects.

Effects of uricosuric drugs and diuretics on uric acid excretion in oxonate-treated rats.

A practical procedure for evaluating uricosuric agents was demonstrated using clearance experiments with potassium oxonate-treated rats. The fractional excretion value of uric acid showed a reabsorptive net flux of uric acid in the renal tubules of the animal, though the value was obviously higher than those of primates such as men, chimpanzees and cebus monkeys. However, the rats responded wel...

Fructus Gardenia Extract ameliorates oxonate-induced hyperuricemia with renal dysfunction in mice by regulating organic ion transporters and mOIT3.

The potent anti-hyperuricemia activities of Fructus Gardenia Extract (FGE) have been well reported. The aim of this study was to evaluate the uricosuric and nephro-protective effects of FGE and explore its possible mechanisms of action in oxonate-induced hyperuricemic mice. FGE was orally administered to hyperuricemic and normal mice for 1 week. Serum and urinary levels of uric acid, creatinine...

Hepatoprotective effect of Plumbago indica root extract on thioacetamide-induced liver damage in rats

Experiments were designed to establish the hepatoprotective activity of Plumbago indica (PLBM) methanolic root extracts at different doses (100 and 200 mg/kg bw) against thioacetamide-induced liver damage in albino Wistar rats. Hepatotoxicity was assessed by evaluating the activity of liver-function marker enzymes such as aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, alkaline phosphatase and la...
